WSC Intro/Outro: This is when spirit calls, and you on your journey are in the right place. This show is about magic, miracles, and meaning shared through stories, interviews, and channeled messages. We have so much to share about who you are and your divine mission here on the earth. Let's get to it. When Spirit calls is right now.

Speaker:

Rev. Rose Hope: Our guest today is Desiree Docherty. Desiree is an intuitive spiritual practitioner with over 15 years of experience in mediumship, psychic work, Reiki, and human medicine. Her connection with spirit began nearly 20 years ago, following a significant life event leading her to deepen her spiritual gifts through personal exploration and practice. As a Reiki master and human medicine practitioner, Desiree combines spiritual guidance, intuitive insight, and energy work to support emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Human medicine has become particularly meaningful as part of her practice, allowing her to explore the role of energy in supporting physical wellness. Passionate about her work, Desiree is dedicated to providing a compassionate, supportive space where clients can explore their spiritual paths, find balance, and nurture their overall well-being. Oh, hello, everybody! I'm so happy to be back with you again. I am so excited about our guest because her and I have been following each other for many, many years in our local community, and she does very similar work to me. But I've always just seen so many positive things about this woman, and every time that I see a post by her, there's something that I'm just like, oh, I love this lady. And so we had the beautiful privilege of finally meeting at the farmers market. Desiree, you're here.

Desiree Docherty:

Oh no, that was too funny too, hey! I it was like a great.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: It was so divine because I'm walking by. She's got a booth, and she's like D, and I'm like Dance. So we had this moment where we're like, we've been following each other. We know who each other is on some level, but our first time meeting, and then once we met, it was just like, ah, we're soul family. It's it's time for us to you know to connect more often. So it's been so beautiful, Desiree, getting to know you over this last little bit, and I just knew I wanted to have you as a guest because you are potent medicine, and you have, you know, a very interesting story around your history and how mediumship came up, how some of your gifts came up. So I would love for the audience to kind of know a bit of that story because I know a lot of us, especially for me, I hid so much of my gifting. I was scared of it. I didn't know what to do with it. I thought I was weird. I thought I was crazy. All of those things, and I think a lot of us go through that as we're learning more about ourselves. So why don't you take us back to a bit of the background story?

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah, sure. So first of all, I can say I totally understand where you were just talking about feeling closeted because I was like that for quite some time, so my story goes back about 20 years ago, maybe 21 years ago. To be honest, I feel like spirit was kind of telling me I wasn't on the right path because I had all of these health issues coming up, and I didn't really think anything of it? I just was like, okay. I was like searching for answers, and I had actually always been kind of spiritual, but I didn't realize that the experiences that I had when I was younger were spiritual. Wasn't until it became like a medium that I was like, oh, now I understand. So I had this, you know, physical stuff going on, and I was looking for answers. And I came the first time I actually came across of a set of angel cards. But before this, I had already had stuff happening. I was seeing numbers, and I was kind of like looking into it. But just this physical stuff that I was going through brought me to the spiritual path, and things kind of just started happening for me. So I knew what it was, but instead of working against it, I worked with it. So I thought, okay, well, you know, I'm having these experiences. Like I was seeing angel numbers, I was hearing things, I was I was feeling things. I was knowing things. So I just kind of was like, okay, I didn't even know where to start. I remember being very confused and like, I don't know where to start. But I started with like meditating. I started, you know, reading a lot of books, listening to a lot of podcasts, anything that I felt really called to, and. I was like in the same boat as you, where I felt very closeted. I didn't feel like I could share with anybody. I went through it on my own for a little while, and actually, I don't know how long I was into it. Maybe a year, maybe a little bit longer. And then I had these two beautiful souls that came into my life that were both mediums and Reiki

Desiree Docherty:

masters, and they started helping me on my journey, and it was really what I find even now where I'm at. Spirit has this way of connecting with me, where it's been a journey, where some things you know that they show show me, I know what the sign means, whereas another medium might have a different sign for the same thing that I have, so it's been like a this like song and dance with spirit, and it led me to a healing journey. It led me to doing healing work. So really, just kind of a mishmash at everything, right?

Desiree Docherty:ike, oh my god, now I see the:Desiree Docherty:

Yes.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: For others, they go through some trauma. Was there anything significant that kind of shook things up enough where you're like, oh yeah, I know things and I feel things, or was it for you just this like gradual kind of growing awareness?

Desiree Docherty:

Well, like I said, I I had a lot of physical issues come up. It was like my body was just like I was having like anxiety to the point that I was like shaking, and I was just I had just all of these physical stuff. Like I just felt awful all the time. So it wasn't like a wham bam like just huge. Ah, okay, yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: So,

Desiree Docherty:

but it led me to that,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: so I think that's really important because I think a lot of people feel like they have to have some big grand epiphany or some big big event, and I think that that's kind of where I was going with this. Is like for you, was kind of more this progression of like, hey, my body's not very happy, it's not very comfortable, and so you started to listen to that, and then through that listening process, it unlocked all the other stuff.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Okay. I love that, and I think it's important for people to hear this because, again, I think people feel like they have to have some big, you know, scare in their life, you know, or something bad, you know, in most cases, to happen before we have like the proverbial wake up call, and I think, yeah, even though I'm not saying you know you feeling unwell wasn't bad necessarily, but it was uncomfortable enough that it was enough of a catalyst, and I think that's a great reminder for people to you know for all of you listening to remind you that it doesn't need to be some big ayahuasca ceremony or something where you have this grand epiphany. It is also, it can be that, but it can also be this slow, beautiful, gentle opening of and discovery of, and and I think that is a really powerful message in of itself for for anyone listening who is still figuring things out.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah, to be honest, I mean, as you're talking about it, I was getting just a little bit emotional because I actually it was something I'd forgotten about, but I can remember being that sick that I was actually afraid to go to sleep at night a handful of times because I remember thinking I'm not going to wake up tomorrow morning. That's how awful I felt.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Oh, yeah. I have shivers. I got shivers hearing that. Yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

I literally actually just forgot about it until you brought it up, and when you were talking, tears started welling up in my eyes. I was like, whoa! I forgot about that because it's been such a long time. So I actually do remember that. That's how awful I felt. So it was like, like you said, my body was just telling me like, you're not doing the right thing. You're not on the right path. And FYI, for anybody who does feel that way, most of the time your body is trying to tell you that maybe you're not on the right path. And you need to choose something different. Yeah,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: yeah. I I believe that it's a call for change. I actually think it's a last ditch effort of our spirit team. You know, and so you know, it's it's hard for us as human beings to listen when we're so inundated with distractions. Right? We've got our phones and social and TV and da da da da da and all the dramas and traumas happening in the world, so we're getting bombarded by all of that. And then there's no space for us to just be in stillness, to just be and listen, to just be and know. And when we don't allow for that space, there's a major disconnect, isn't there? Right. And so we're out there, you know, going through the world, and then finally, eventually, the body says, "Oh, I'm going to get into this too, and I'm going to make sure that they are hearing what they need to hear." And I've heard that from a lot of people where they're like, "Oh no, the pain is the the you know the the symptom in the body physically is the last ditch effort of your spirit team to say, "Pay attention, we're talking to you."

Desiree Docherty:

100%, 100%, and not even not even just your spirit team. You know, your body just trying to tell you, right? Because your body's talking to you as well. So, 100%. So, yeah, I, I really,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: yeah, it's, isn't it? I actually think it's quite miraculous that we we have these systems, you know, and we have the energetic system of receiving like downloads and information energetically. But then, of course, the physicality comes into play, and I just think it's so miraculous that all these pieces are really working in tandem for the betterment of us as human beings. And I truly believe that. You mentioned something else in your story, and I do want to acknowledge, though, by the way, the emotion you felt when you remembered how many nights you were afraid to go to sleep. And I think you know, I don't think you're alone in that. I know other people who have talked about like this is the state I was in. I didn't know if I would wake up, and and I think that when we're in such a place again, you know, it wasn't some big trauma, but it was still traumatic in a sense. In that, you know, there was such a fear there because you felt that bad. And so, how beautiful though is it that you went there? How beautiful that you were able to be in that much discomfort that it was a catalyst for you.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah. Oh, I totally was a catalyst. And you know, you know, even before before I turned to spirituality, I had always actually been obsessed with it. So as a kid, I was always obsessed with mediumship, psychics, ghosts. I loved it all. I just never ever thought that I would be an adult and be like, "Hey, I'm a medium. I'm

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: gonna do those things." I know. Yeah, I didn't think I'd be doing this stuff either. Okay, I thought you were gonna be teaching at professional levels or running the CEO of some big massive company, you know.

Desiree Docherty:

Exactly.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yeah, it's interesting how we get redirected, isn't it?

Desiree Docherty:

Oh, it is, and I love it though. I'm so thankful for the experience, even though it was, you know, it was very hard at times. But I'm thankful for it. I'm thankful where I am right now in my life.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yeah, beautiful. Me too. Yeah, me too. So one of the other things you mentioned when you were sharing is that like what you get as a sign and it attach meaning over here. Another reader, another person might see a sign and it means something totally different. And I want to speak to that because I do get this question a lot, and you probably do too. Of like, well, what does that mean, and what does that mean, and what does that mean? Everyone's always asking me, "What does this mean?" And I like the perspective of, "Well, what does it mean to you?" Because I think that you know we attach the meaning to it in some way, shape, or form, and it doesn't mean that I can't share with you like the essence of whatever it is that means, but really what it comes back to is like, well, what does it really mean for? What do you want it to mean, and what do you think it means? But I'm curious about that that process because I I oftentimes will tell my students when they're learning what different things mean or symbols or signs mean that it's like a legend to a map. So you know, on a map, you have the little legend, and the legend shows you where you know where the bathrooms are, or where the trails are, or where the whatever is. Okay, this is the way spirit works. At least in my perception, is that each reader is going to get you know these visions of these certain things, and then they're going to start to figure out what that correlates with or what that matches with, right? And so I'll give you an example. I was doing a reading many, many years when I first started, and I kept seeing this barn, and in the rafters of the barn were these like little chickadees on the rafters, and I was like, oh, there's three chickadees on the raft. This is so sweet, and the girl's like, "Well, I'm having three children. Like, you know what I mean? Like, there was a connection. I can't remember exactly how the conversation went, but something like that." And she's

Desiree Docherty:

like, "Oh, I want three babies," and I was like, "Oh, that's interesting." And then guess what happened? Next session, same barn showing up. I'm like, "Oh, there's two chickadees." She's like, "Oh, yeah, we're having, you know, I'm having twins, and you know whatever. So I so I was able to understand that okay, the chickadees on the rafters in the barn mean potential babies or souls coming in for that family. Yeah, and so I'm curious about you in that process for you. Like, what did that look like? Does everything always mean the same thing to you every time, or does it depend? You know, depending on the client. Yeah, I just want to talk about that for a sec.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah, I have to say though, before you say that, the chickadees that is like the cutest thing I've ever heard.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Isn't it so sweet? I know it was the sweetest thing, and now that's how it shows up.

Desiree Docherty:

Oh, that is so sweet. Yeah. So same kind of idea. Spirit will. I just find it's been like a learning curve with me in spirit? They just, you know. So, for an example, any time I speak, so when I see spirit, I see them with my physical eyes, I see them with my with my third eye, and I see them in my mind's eye, right? So when I connect with one someone on the other side. Just for an example, I always see them smiling. So them smiling is always like their sign to say, "I'm good, I'm okay, I'm happy." And like I said, it's just been a learning curve. You know, a lot of the times too, though, when spirit connects with me, I get just like a knowing. It's like I just know exactly what it means, but there was the odd time where there was like something they would show me, and I'm like, I don't understand what you mean. And and even now, but like I said, it's still a learning curve. So you know, it's like there's always going to be a learning curve with a spirit with what they show me because sometimes I don't always know what it means right away, but then like a few seconds later, I'm like, oh, I get it. It's I find the information comes in really fast too, so I'll just blurt it out, and then two seconds later, I'm like, oh, that's what there. Yeah,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: it gets revealed later. Yeah,

Desiree Docherty:

a lot of symbolism.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yep, there is. I also find too sometimes like I'll I'll get an image of my mind, and I think it was a a gorilla. When I first started doing this work, I I just I saw this ape or this gorilla, and I was like, "What's the there's a gorilla?" And she's like, "Oh my god, I have a trip plan to go see the gorillas in the in the forest. Like this is part of my plan." So they they gave me the meaning, right? And so sometimes, you know, I I let my clients also attach again whatever their meaning is. Like I can give them what a general meaning is, and then they have to determine whether it resonates for them and what it actually means to them. And I think I think that's a misconception a lot of people have. They're like, I'm going to a psychic and a medium, and they're going to do a reading for me. They're going to tell me everything I need to know, and that's not always the case. First of all, they'll you'll get everything you need and then some for sure. But what you think you need to know and what you actually need to know can be different. And not only that, but there's almost it's a it's like people who give away their health license to their doctor. Do you know what I mean? It's like, oh, the doctor says this, they say this, and this is the word of you know that I'm going to follow. I really want to remind people: use your discernment, use your discretion, and take what resonates, leave what doesn't. You have the power to do that. Do not give your power away to us as readers. We don't want it. Most of us, right? Okay, there are some sketchy people out there for sure, and we're seeing a lot of this, you know, spiritual corruption. But nonetheless, it's that invitation to remind people: don't give your power away. And at the end of the day, like we can tell you whatever we can tell you, but then you have to take that and you have to decide what you're going to do with it.

Desiree Docherty:

Exactly, and some people do think they think, "Oh, I'm going to go there, and they're going to tell me that so and so said this to me and this to me, and they did this, and that's going to be like this." And I'm like, "Not exactly, like you said. It's what you need to hear. It's what you need to know, right? Because even though I can have somebody come for a reading, have their loved one come through, but then their loved one's giving me information about their actual life, not their history with them. Like they're telling me what that person that came to see me, what they need to know, what's going on, if they're having any issues, what they need to change. It's not just like, you know, hey, oh, do you remember the time such and such happened, and we did this? Doesn't mean that it doesn't come through sometimes, but it's really about what the person needs because a lot of the time they have stuff that they just need to know to help them on their path.

Desiree Docherty:decade of doing readings and:Desiree Docherty:

know, we're trying to get out of the. We're just trying to get out of the way, right? So divine can work through us, but sometimes we get in the way too. We are human after all, but I want to ask you about about you know your clients and how you work with clients because one thing I know about you is that you hold a great deal of integrity, and I really value that. That's high on my values list, and so when you are in that you know a situation with a client that you know perhaps has these expectations, and and you're you know expressing the to the best of your ability what you can. What is it that you do in those situations? Like, have you had that happen to you, where someone's come to you and they're frustrated, or they're like, "I just want to talk to my mom," but there's these other things that are coming in, and you're like, okay, yes, well, we can still talk to your mom on the other side, but there's these other things that need to be addressed too. Just curious to know. To

Desiree Docherty:

be honest, I haven't actually had it happen that often. I think I can remember like one time, and that was so long ago. I don't even remember the story. I just find that I've been lucky enough that I always get what they need. Has there been the odd time that somebody's like expecting to know this or that? Sure, but but then I give them so much of what what else they needed to hear that it overpowers that one little thing that they thought they needed to hear because they might come into like not so much that happened to me, but people might come into a reading and be on the drive here and be like, "Oh, I just want my grandma to come in and she needs to say my nickname from when I was a kid." Right. And sometimes, like, it does come through, but like I said, most of the time I haven't had that as an expectation. I was always really able to give them everything they needed, so I've been very lucky there.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yes, and you know I have too, and I think the point of all that is for people who do this type of work, who are listening, you know, and have maybe some fear because I know a lot of my students when they finish the course, they have this fear that like it's going to go sideways, people aren't going to believe them, people are going to ask questions they can't answer all of those things, and you know, moral of the story here is that it doesn't happen very often. You guys, that was one person in like 10,000 readings. Okay, yeah, that's a pretty low percentage, right? And for you too, I'm glad to hear you say, yeah, it doesn't actually happen that often. But we do get cases where people will say, "Hey, well, what's their name? Tell me their name. Like they, some people want that because they're a skeptic. They want that logical validation. We can't always deliver that. That's what I think. I'm also trying to get at is like it doesn't always work that way. Like you know. And so again, just mitigating expectations. I think is is part of that. Yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah. And I find when it comes with psychic stuff, and not so much that it's had I've had this experience myself, but I've had people say, "Well, I went and saw this psychic, and and you know they told me this, this, and this, and that didn't happen." The one thing that I'm very firm on saying is, I'm letting you know this is. What's coming up in the energy that's going on right now? You have the free will to change it. You have the free will to, you know. So it may not happen as that, but this is what I'm getting from the energy that you have now. And then I always give tools to help them. And I always just say, I'm giving you these tools, but it's up to your own discretion if you want to use them. I'm just giving tools to help you,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: yes, I I really love that because a lot of people ask me like, oh, when am I going to get married? When am I going to do all these things? It's like I can't decide when for you. I can maybe have an understanding on a time window, but ultimately, it's your energy. It's what you decide. If you want it, you go for it. You know, and so I again, there's some misconceptions about that too, right? When when we are doing more of the psychic visioning, I also tell people. I said future pathways are pathways of possibility. It's still a choose your own adventure. Oh, so that's what I tell people. Like I might tell you this, it might happen 20 years from now. I had a I have a client loved her dearly. I did a reading for her probably 15 years ago, and I was like, "Oh, there's a bakery. You're going to own a bakery. Like it's beautiful and it's exciting, and like this is what's showing up." And she just got so excited. It took her, I think, 12 years, but she opened that bakery. So, so she could have said in year five, "Oh, D's full of it. There's no bakery, right?" But ultimately, the bakery was birthed, and I have that happen a lot. Where people are like, "I didn't know, but I waited another year, and then this happened, like you said it would." You know, and so again, reminding people to not to get attached too much to timing. Now, okay. Now, what I want to go into is, what do you really want to share with the listeners about the journey, about our connection with loved ones? Like, what is like the thing that comes up a lot in your sessions that you're like, oh, if if everyone just knew these things, it would be so much easier for them.

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah, I don't know why. As soon as he said that, I got emotional again. So I think you know, I that means it's pretty deep. But the one thing that I want people to take away from this is it's not that hard to connect with your loved ones. People think that it is so hard, and I love being able to teach people how easy it is because it is so easy, and I give people these little tools. Your loved ones are always with you. Your loved ones always want to connect with you. And another thing I'd like to share is they're always happy. They're peace. They're love. They're joy. They don't have guilt or fear. They're just pure essence of love connected to the divine. That's it. Happy.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Oh, I so okay. First thing is, of course, it's actually easier than you think, and I love that because I I agree that I think some people feel really blocked, or they feel like, oh, how come I can't connect with this person that I love? That and they're that they're gone, and we understand now from a bigger perspective, that they're really just transitioned to another form. So their form, their essence, still exists. People, it's just their physicality is gone, and we as human beings are so so connected in this like physical realm, this tangible space. It's hard for us to wrap our heads around it, right? So I love I love that, and then I love that you're telling people, oh no! When they come, they're happy, they're love, because often clients will come and they'll say, oh, I didn't, I didn't do this thing, or I didn't apologize. Do they forgive me? Are they mad at me still? You know, and they wonder about those things. And the truth is that all of that gets dissolved by the way, right? As soon as they transition, I know it happened to me when I died. Everything went away. I wasn't mad about nothing. I was pure bliss and pure love. And so understanding that sometimes helps to ease people minds that they're like, okay, that person really isn't suffering. That person is not angry with me still, or whatever. And there's a peace that comes, I think, with that. Yeah,

Desiree Docherty:

yeah. I think that's yeah. I think that's lovely. They are. They're just, you know, they are. I, I just feel like they are living more than we are living. I feel like they are just like, ah, that's that's what I feel. And not that I want to, you know, idolize the fact of you know being up there is better. But, you know, we came down here to learn. We came down here to have experiences to help us to grow, to help our soul to grow, so that when we come back again, we're going to have new knowledge, right?

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yeah, absolutely. There are some perceptions that mediumship is work of the devil. Can you speak that? That's a big loaded question at the end of our conversation, but it just dropped in, so I gotta ask it.

Desiree Docherty:

No, that is, you know, in my experience, I actually haven't had. Okay, I was gonna say I haven't really had too many people say that to me. It's funny though that you say that because I actually did have a post written on a Facebook. Page and somebody wrote that underneath. They're like, "This is work of the devil." Blah blah blah. Like, wow! I've never had anybody say that to me ever. I don't believe that. I haven't really, you know. I remember when I first started doing mediumship, I was worried about. I was like, "That doesn't exist. I'm like the devil. I'm like that, and I still in my in my being in my soul. I believe that there is negative beings. I believe that there is negative souls, but I don't think that they maybe chose to be that way. I think that maybe, maybe they get stuck in translation. Maybe they, you know, just just from some experiences that I've actually had with negative entities. Yeah, they're not what you think they are.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yeah, right.

Desiree Docherty:

They're not what you think they are. I can tell you a story. I actually had this lady friend of mine who she said she she was walking in the woods, and she said she came across this part of the woods, and she said there was all of these negative beings, and she said I can't remember. She said she could see them or feel them, but she said they actually asked her for help because they were stuck and they had not chosen to be that way, but because of something that they had in maybe their soul contract or something, they get stuck there. And so she did this prayer for them to help them, and they thanked her. And I've had experiences with negative energies that have asked me for help, and I have helped them. And it's not like you expect it to be. They just not. So, so I don't want to say, you know, devil's work because it's definitely not. But is there negative energy energies that you can connect with? Yes, but

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: yeah, yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

I think the way you feel is what can bring on the negativity, right? Yeah,

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: yeah. You know, I think I think there's. We could go down the rabbit hole. This is a whole nother conversation, I think. But I, but I do feel like it. It is important to have these conversations because I know even in my line of work, you know, I've researched in the Bible and things like that. And I had a really beautiful experience. I've actually talked about on the podcast. I'm going to repeat it here because it's a cool story. I was doing research for my first book, The Ark, and I was reading in the Bible because I just wanted to pull some pieces from that, and it says very clear in there that mediumship is the work of the devil or what have you. And so, yeah, it's in the Bible. So I right away, you know, I'd been doing that work for quite some time already as I was writing the book, and and so right away my heart sinks, and I'm like, oh, you know, I was raised as this good little Catholic girl, and so my heart sinks. And so I say a prayer. I say, "Okay, God." I said, "I know that this is what is written here, but I said I need to understand from your perspective." I prayed and asked for God to give me a sign that I was on the right path Immediately when I said Amen, the wind gusted so hard it blew the front door of the casita open that I was working in, and out in my direct line of sight through that front door across the river on the top of the hill was a cross I had never noticed before. Oh my gosh! I knew in that moment that okay, some aspects of mediumship and people who are doing them out of integrity, doing them out of purity, doing them to have power, control, what have you. Yeah, that's that's that's dark work, but again, like anything else, right? There's a good side of it too, and in fact, a very beautiful side. And I know for a fact I've healed people through my mediumship work, although it's not a big part of my work. It is still a part of my work, and so and so that I share that with you because I think, I think that you know,

Desiree Docherty:

as we continue to step into the light and doing this work, there will be people that will see us and perceive us and attack us for that particular reason. And I think that more of us as spiritual leaders need to be having these conversations, so that we can really clarify, clear up the mud. You know, so yeah. So thank you for sharing your your perspective of that. I also do know from a mediumship perspective that any clearings I've done, 99.9% of the entities in there, they just want to be seen and heard like everything else. Like you said, you know, like you said, they just they just needed help, and so yeah, sometimes those entities will you know get your attention because they need your help more than anything. They're not most of them are. There to cause fear, suffering in any way. It's just to get your attention, and I I think that that's important.

Desiree Docherty:

That is, and I will say, like you know, we don't know exactly sometimes how they got there. Like I said, I've I've had a lot of experiences with negative energy, and I couldn't even think about being the devil, devil being real. I don't necessarily think that that exists, but I do think negative energies exist, and I think that it depends on your energy as well. So, like you were talking about the light, and in you know this, like working with mediumship, that God is going to be somewhat accepting of it, especially if you're in the light, but if you're working from a place of ego, you're working. That's more of a, I guess, a darker energy because you're working from ego. You're not working from the light. So I have, and then there's earthbound energies too. So they're kind of like not necessarily negative, but kind of actually. Can I share a story with you?

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Yes.

Desiree Docherty:

Okay, I want to share a story with you. This because this is the craziest story that I ever had, and I think that I think that the listeners would probably think this is pretty exciting. So, because we were talking about like negative energies, earthbound energies, I had an experience, and this is probably the craziest experience I ever had with spirit. So I had a good friend of mine who was, you know, kind of learning mediumship as well, and she had went to the hairdresser's, which was a friend of hers house. So my two good friends went to their house, her house, and she said when she was there, she felt this like negative energy around her, and that's fine. Well, this energy happened to jump into her body, okay, and they had. I'm at work. My friend's texting me saying, "Oh my gosh, there is an entity in my friend, in our mutual friend." She's like, "This is crazy." Like she said, she's not acting herself, and she's like, "How do I get rid of it, so I gave them a chance to do, and he stepped out. But because her energy was low, this negative energy was able to pop back in. So then, they ended up showing up at my work, showing up at my work, and my mom showed up at the same time, and the the manager of the store happened to be good friends with the hairdresser who they were at. So I was like, "Okay, this is divine, divine," because somebody needed to see this experience. So as she come in, she was not acting like herself. She was acting like she was shaking. She was like, like convulsing almost, actually. And she's like Desiree, I'm in here, I'm in here. But then it was this, so it was this man, and he just kept saying, "I just need to say I'm sorry to so and so." So the moral, the story is because this dark energy, or darker, more earthbound energy. Not that he was bad, but he felt he had something he needed to do to let himself go. So, I actually kept having a conversation with him. I was able to get him out of her body as

Desiree Docherty:

soon as he did. I actually sent light to him and I pushed him out of the store. I pushed him in the middle of like there was like a driveway there, and I asked the light to come down and get him, he was gone, and within I say probably an hour, he came back to me and he kept thanking me and thanking me and thanking me. He thanked me for days.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: Wow, wow!

Desiree Docherty:

And I was like, wow, did I just perform

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: like an exorcist?

Desiree Docherty:

I didn't want to say the word, but I was like, it was the craziest story I can remember. I couldn't sleep for days because I was like, and it was just having those other people there to see that experience. I was like, it made me feel good because I felt so powerful. So, you know, even so, negative energies do not have power over us. We are able to, but they just want love too.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: I think that's a really powerful message too, because I know a lot of people are afraid to even, you know, be curious about this work because they're afraid they're going to get taken over by some entity or the devil or what have you, and that's not the case, right? You know, even in this case, it was a more, you know, earthbound energy. And again, 99.9% are these earthbound energies that just need our love, that just need someone to hear them and see them. That's it, and so that's that's a beautiful, yeah, beautiful way of like bringing this all together and reminding us like we don't have to be afraid. They don't. They really don't have power, and so a reminder of that. You know, we talked a bit about you know devil's work and that sort of thing. It's so funny. Last night I'm at golf with my girlfriends, and and the song by In Excess, the Devil Inside, comes on. You know that song, the Devil. Yes,

Desiree Docherty:

the every single one of us, the Devil Inside. And so my friend says, she goes, every time I hear the song, I'm reminded of you, and I was like reminded of me and the Devil Inside. What do you mean? She goes, no. She goes, I remember years ago. She's like, we were probably teenagers or like early 20s or something, and she's like, we the song came on, and you said, you know, I don't think everyone has the devil inside. Oh my god! So she every time she hears that story, she hears my voice saying, I don't think everyone has the devil inside, which I think is really interesting, and that brings this conversation kind of full circle because, you know, if we look at this from the quantum level, we are all high vibration and low vibration, right? I have shadow aspects of myself. I have my God aspects, but I have my what shadow aspects, if you will. I don't believe in the concept of the the devil per se. It's an energy. It's an aspect. And so I've also really felt like you. Like I don't really, I don't really believe in the devil. I don't really believe that the devil can sneak in and do all this stuff. However, some people will argue that and they'll say, "Oh, well, you're being naive and you're not being protected. But then, if I have a belief that I need to be protected, that means that I'm vulnerable, which means that I'm living in that state of vulnerability. So there's a there again. This is a whole nother podcast conversation, folks. And maybe we'll put this in the in the docket to talk about this because I think it's really important. I start having conversations about this, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure where my belief is exactly on that. I believe that we have the good and the bad, and I think we're all of those things. I think that we have created this society of of judgment and separation. And so, if we believe that oh, there's this devil over here and there's God over here, and they're separate from me, am I missing something there? Right? Do I

Desiree Docherty:

have an aspect of the devil inside of me, and if so, can I come to terms with that or not? And so again, these are just some questions. I don't have the answers, folks, but these are some questions to to to really sit with and understand. I certainly have no fear. I feel like I am so full of God's love and light that I I don't I don't sit in a place of fear around that. But I think it's an interesting topic of discussion in terms of energy and how this world works and the balancing of those negative and positive kind of energies and densities that we spoke about today. I think all of it is divine. At the end of the day, isn't God in everything?

Desiree Docherty:

Yeah.

Desiree Docherty:

Rev. Rose Hope: And so, and so, it's all divine in some way, working to you know to help us move through this experience, right? Yeah. So again, we live in a dualistic world where we need the light and the dark and you know, but we've created that. And when we think about God's position, God comes from position of neutrality. There is no good or bad; it just is. And so perhaps even there's an invitation to go deeper than that. Say, oh, okay, maybe there's an understanding that everything just is, and it's we can look at the world through maybe a bigger scope of neutrality, and would that serve us? Perhaps it would. So some things to leave everybody with as we wrap things up. Oh my gosh, this is so much fun. Okay, Desiree, how can people reach out to you if if you know something you shared landed, or if they're curious about working with you? What do you have available for them?

Desiree Docherty:

Ah, yeah. Okay, so they could go to my website, which is tranquility-healing.ca. I do mediumship. I do healing work. I do Reiki. I kind of do a little bit of everything. Anything that has to do with spirituality, I do. But they could reach out to me if they want to get a reading done, if they want to get have a healing session done. I do something else called human medicine, which is healing energy, which looks at healing the ailments of people. I've had great success with that, and I wanted to share that just because when I started doing that, I felt such a calling to it because there's so many people walking around that have physical ailments and physical pain and this and that, and I've had such a huge success rate with helping people with that, and I feel very called to do that.
