In October 2018, Natalie traveled to Liberia, where she met with the government officials and launched the personal growth studies into a number of schools. And it is now in its second year working with over 1000 students. Recently in 2020, Natalie had the immense honor of being knighted by the Orthodox Order of St. John, a humanitarian group recognizing individuals who are not only doing great work, but who have a big vision of the work they want to complete in the world helping others. DeeAnne Riendeau:

Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of when Spirit calls you've already heard about our guests today. Hi, Natalie.

Natalie Ledwell:

Hello, darling. How are you?

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Wonderful, I'm so good. It's so fun to have people on the show with accents. Even though I've heard other people say I have an accent and but it's good to have the diversity. So I'm so happy to have you here. And I'm so excited for you to share a bit of your story. I know people kind of got a little precursor in your bio, but I really want to start us off by allowing our audience to get to know you a little bit. So would you tell us a little bit about yourself? And you know what, what you've come to in terms of what you're up to now?

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah, so I mean, my movies has been the big focus in our our big purpose and business the last 12 13 years now. And so my now ex husband and I were still business partners, and we're still good friends. We were married for 20 years. We we met when I think was about 25. And so we were serial entrepreneurs. You know, I think the first business we had was like a nightclub. And I went from this really positive environment in the fitness industry and you know, feeling like I was making a difference to a nightclub, which was, you know, I don't remember every moment. Bration total vibration.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Yeah.

Natalie Ledwell:

Exactly. And I'm thinking, Whoa, how did I end up here, this is nowhere I meant to be. Which was interesting, because it's like, even, even though I wasn't really into any kind of spirituality, I was definitely into personal growth. You know, I used to go to the Tony Robbins and Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn. And those big guys, you know, all about make a plan, you know, set your goals, that kind of thing. I didn't really start reading things like Conversations with God, or the way of the peaceful warrior or soliciting prophecy until I was, you know, kind of on the other side of the nightclub. But even then I couldn't really i If I think back, I can think of all these times where I was receiving messages and not really realizing what that was. So we had a whole bunch of different businesses. And and then in 2006, I remember sitting there Glen and I had four businesses, we were running at the same time, and I'm looking at my bills, and I'm looking at my bank account and going alright, I know how to do this. Like, what am I missing? Like, what what happened? I don't understand yet. And then a friend said, Look, you know, you should order this DVD online. It's called The Secret. I think I really like it. I'm like, All right. So we sit down and watch this thing. And I'm just like, this is the missing piece. And like, How did I miss this? And so, yeah.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

It was a secret. So of course, he would miss it.

Natalie Ledwell:

I know, right? See the secret in plain English. So from then it was like, oh, okay, so yeah, because I was like, I won't set myself a goal unless I could see all the steps. I'm like, I don't need to know all the steps. I just need to start taking action and action wasn't our problem. We were doing a ton of action, but we will like a car up on a jack, so the wheels are spinning, but we're not getting any traction. You know, and we knew how to run a business we had and businesses in all different types of industries. So running a business was fine. But we I suppose we were always kind of looking for that, you know that that thing that was going to be the thing for us, right? Yeah, we're in a very clear vision, what will not live life to be. But you know, we just haven't quite got there. So not long after that a friend of ours who we had met through one of the other businesses that we had, you know, showed us a sort of slideshow that he put together. And it was like PowerPoint slides. And in between the PowerPoint slides were photos that match the affirmations that were on these PowerPoints, and music. So it was his version of a vision board. I'm like, Dude, this is so cool. And then he's like, let's set up a website that sell instructions. And for people around the world can make these movies. And we just put a little video on YouTube. That's like, we didn't know what we were doing. But within months, we had that many emails coming in from people going, this is changing my life. It's like this spark went off for me and my Oh, when Ding ding ding how do we get how do we do this? How do we figure out this internet thing? And because we got to have the basics, like, you know, I we're applying everything that we've learned in the secret when it comes to manifesting. You know, we figured out, you could buy programs online, they teach you how to do the internet part marketing part side of things. And so we, you know, we bought a program and you know, made our money back in, you know, in a week. And then the guy, Frank Kern, who was actually running, who did that program was doing a live event in April of 2008, in San Diego, like right where they were going. And I remember on the plane on the way over, now we're talking about what I do and manifesting, I talk a lot about intention. And I go, here's the deal, we're going to meet this Frank guy, and we're going to somehow convince him to mentor us because he's the man, right? And then we're going to meet a whole bunch of other people who will become our friends who are internet, marketers will just become sponges. And we'll learn everything that we have to do, because we want to fast track. Like, we need to get this out there. And yeah, so we, we, our first weekend was that seminar, we got accepted into Frank's mastermind group, we met a whole bunch of people that were all in San Diego for the summer to launch their programs. So we were just in that environment. So you know, who you surround yourself with is really important. And coming from Australia, where we have I know, I think Canada also has a little bit of this as well, that whole tall poppy syndrome. Whereas you if you do better than everyone else, everyone wants to try and drag you back down. Well, in America, everyone's like, he's gonna have to awesome, you know, we and I was supporting us. And, you know, we we decided to do a big launch in September 2008. Way before we knew there was an economic crisis happening on the planet, and had already committed to it and already had accumulated $120,000 on credit cards to get there. But you know, we we created a mind movie for that launch. And main dollars, we wanted to be in dollars, because everyone around us was doing a million dollars. Well, I can went on, but there was selling like 2005 $1,000 programs. I mean, ours was $97. Right? That's a lot of programs be set for a lot of programs. And no one said you couldn't do it. Like everyone's like, Yeah, go for a guidance also be like, Okay, so we kind of believe that we could it was, you know, having, like I said, having those people around you was was really important. So, you know, we get to the launch, we realize everyone's like the world's gone haywire. You know, financially, we're like, this has got to work. Otherwise, we're toast. And we ended up doing like a $700,000 launch with the little only $7 product, because it was just, I mean, it could have gone either way. But we were so focused on what it is that we really wanted to you know, to achieve and who we wanted to serve and how we were going to do that. It just ended up being an outrageous success. So

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Incredible. I love this story. Like this is a story of success, you know, even though you had aimed for a million and you only made it to 700,000. I mean, that, to me is such brilliance because it speaks to our ability to really be able to manifest so even though it didn't manifest exactly what you wanted, it manifested a lot of what you wanted. And I think sometimes we feel like we get caught up in the beating up of ourselves because we didn't quite get to wherever it was we're going and then we suffer in that or we sync our own vibration, and you have all people no manifestation. The requirement is to be in that vibrational frequency.

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

And so I think that is something to really celebrate and commend on on the success of that to me, that's

Natalie Ledwell:

Well, we actually did reach the million dollars.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Aha!

Natalie Ledwell:

Now I wouldn't recommend this for anyone else because it was the most stressful time of our lives, but What happened because of the economic crisis, and we were restrained, and we're here in the US, we had to use PayPal as our payment gateway, they froze the account. And so they were able to get like a couple of $100,000 out, which would help us pay for because we had CDs back then. So that paid for the postage, because you can imagine how many, you know, CD had to send out. And we also had convinced a few people to work on a percentage of the loss. So we were able to pay them. But then they had $500,000 on lockdown every time they say that they were going to change their mind that they will they're going to release the funds, I would change their mind. It's been on for six months.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Oh, my god.

Natalie Ledwell:

We we had to get back to Australia take out a loan and Glen's dad's name just so we could pay the affiliates some of what we owed them. But every time they go here, we're going to do it and we go, okay, well, guys, it's happening, we'll be able to pay you and then they go, No, and they had it come up with whatever reason. So ended up getting an attorney involved who happened to be part of the mastermind that we were in. So by the time they released the funds, and this was in the American account, we had to get the money back to Australia, because we're an Australian company. And we earned over $200,000, in the exchange rate, getting the money back to Australia, oh yeah, we were kind of we did reach the million

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Oh, my God.

Natalie Ledwell:

Yes. And that's the thing, like, a lot of the time you, you go, Okay, we're gonna put this number, I'm gonna do this thing. And what I really learned is that some, most of the time, actually, all the good things that have happened in my life never happen the way I think they're going to, and very rarely look like what I thought they were gonna look like,

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Oh, I love that you just said that. So I want to, I want to speak to that a little bit. Because, you know, I think it's so easy for us to get so attached to it looking a certain way. And I'm sure that that was a frustrating and stressful time for you guys, I'm not going to argue that that was probably a rough go for a bit, you know, not being able to access those funds. However, when you look at the bigger picture, you see such joy on the other side, and also can see the lessons that are learning along the way. So you know, that's a beautiful example of when Spirit calls us, you guys. It's not always like the angels singing. Oh, you know, it's it's doesn't look that way. But yet, we think that if it's really if life is really working in our favor, that it has to look like rainbows and butterflies and lollipops. The reality is, is that the universe is still working in our favor, even when our perception is that it is not.

Natalie Ledwell:

Right. Exactly. And I think it really strengthened. I mean, this is our first big campaign. Like it was shock and awe like, no one who had an online program in the personal development space, had ever seen anything like this, because we came in because the product was digital. We're like, we need to get good at the marketing.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Right?

Natalie Ledwell:

The other guys were just like, well, we're the personal development people, and we're just putting a website or whatever. And when we made the mind review for that launch, you know, we're talking about, you know, the money and the who we're serving and all that. One of the affirmations I had in that mind movie was, you know, we have respect from our peers. And when I wrote that I was kind of thinking, internet marketing peers. But when we came back the next year, to the US, then we started to get you know, emails, remember Jack Canfield, emailed us and said, hey, you know, I'd really like to connect with you guys. I hope you're doing great things. And I go, guys, I think we just got an email from Jack Canfield. Like, he didn't know what my email was. But you know, and these guys were all reaching out to us, all the guys that were in the secret that had inspired me, we're all reaching out to us. Like, we heard that you guys are doing great things, because, you know, now we've got this big, huge 80,000 list. You know, and we're using all these, you know, great techniques to be able to reach and serve more people. I mean, now, we've reached over 10 million people, you know, and of course, you know, like, Okay, that was a big goal. Let's do 100 million. I'm like, let's keep going like, let's broaden that. But again, and again, like, what I wrote the affirmation, I was thinking one thing, but then it came up to be so much better than I expected, which is really, when you can surrender to going, alright, it's going to come in its own divine timing, it's going to look away, it's going to look, it's going to happen the way it's going to happen. You know, and I'll be okay.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

That is such a key to manifestation because I think we, I think a lot of people believe that it has to look a certain way that the manifestation has to look like you said this way. And I'm actually in the middle of a doctorate in metaphysics and spirituality right now. And one of the things that we speak about is continual expectancy. And I was always the person who said don't expect anything because you'll be disappointed. But when we talk about continual X patency it's not expecting a specific outcome. It's continual expectancy is believing, again, that the universe God, creator, whatever you want to call, it always has your back. And so even if the thing doesn't show up like you thought it would, the possibility of believing in continual expectancy allows you to go even bigger into the infinite expanse, the infinite possibility. And so you created something that you had this goal for you reach that goal, but then it ended up being bigger and better than you could have even imagined. How brilliant is that?

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah, well, I think two the most important ingredients when it comes to manifesting other than the surrender piece, which is really hard. Hardest thing I had to learn is belief and expectancy. And that's why I'm often especially if I'm working on something specific, I will be grateful for it in advance.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Exactly right.

Natalie Ledwell:

Just that just reps, that whole thing is I'm expecting it to happen.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Yes. See, this is so brilliant to be grateful in advance, I think this is such a good tool for the listeners is to be grateful ahead of time. So even though the thing hasn't quite shown up yet, at least in your three dimensional space, it already exists somewhere. Yes. When you allow yourself this is a secret to manifesting, nobody talks about allowing yourself to be in the vibrational frequency in which that thing that you desire already exists. So when you're expressing gratitude, thank you so much for the million dollars that is coming. You know, when you're already there, you're vibrating at that state. And so all the pathways open up for you to in order to receive that. So really,

Natalie Ledwell:

Remember, you want to be a vibrational match to the things that you want to that you will need to attract to be able to make it happen. And so our vibration is influenced by our thoughts and emotions. So if we're stuck in frustration, or impatience, or death, you know, desperation, these are lower frequency emotions, all that's doing is attracting what is the same frequency is that more things that are going to make us more impatient and more frustrated. But when we can live in these higher frequency emotions, you know, things like courage, and, and willingness, and accomplishment and pride, and yes, joy and happiness and gratitude. And so I always, you know, recommend with a lot of the people that I teach them, like, think about your, like pepper throughout your day, all these little things that are going to, you know, get you out of the stress or the you know, the computer screen or whatever that is, and give you a little positive injection, you know, whatever that it could be listening to music, it could be, you know, you know, going for a walk, whatever it is, but, but being purposeful, about raising that frequency, you know, and getting into that higher place, because when we can reside there for the majority of the time, that's when we're in flow. So, and that's when not just what you want, or need. But what you didn't think you needed starts to show.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Yes, where you didn't think you needed. Yes. Oh, so true. I also want to add to that, too, because, you know, being in that state where we are, you know, feeling good. And, you know, that vibrational frequency. You know, something interesting came out last week for a client, she she was really in scarcity around money. And, you know, it was this lack of money, lack of money, lack of money, and I said, Can you find evidence where that's not true. And so she started to look at areas where she was given money, or where she got a discount here where she didn't have to pay that bill or where whatever that was, and she was like, Oh, my God, like, I'm not even seeing what I've been given. Because I'm so caught in this space of lack. And so that's one of the things that I'd love to share with people too, is that ability for us to create evidence that counters maybe a belief that is showing up that's negative for you. But I want to add to that even more, because I think you will be able to speak to this, when we have a lack of anything. So whether it's a lack of love, whether it's a lack of company, whether it's a lack of courage, lack of money, whatever it is, what I have known to be true for myself is that when I'm feeling that scarcity, or lack, then what I do is I give more of that. So if I'm feeling like I'm not getting enough love, I give somebody extra love, is I'm feeling like I'm getting into scarcity. I'm getting attached to money. I give money away, right? I'm feeling like I'm lacking courage. I help somebody else to be courageous.

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

And so that's a rule of thumb that I've used that has been really powerful and I bet you've had some experience in that too.

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah, I mean, what I hear you saying is that when you feel that there is a lack, you lean into creating that for yourself. So we can easily go into the story of you know, I'm not getting it, no one's giving it. And when you're talking it from that point that that energy, you're the victim.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Yes.

Natalie Ledwell:

And you're blaming people, situations, things outside of you. And when you do that, you release all ability to do anything about it, you can't change it. But if you take responsibility for it and go on, I don't feel love. Well, how can I create love? How can I give love, like, I know, my so my Glen and I separated in 2013. And I've been pretty much single for most of that time, I've had a couple of, you know, you know, one relationship, but I'm in a relationship now. But I remember, you know, my little dog, Bella, you know, and moments where I would maybe feel a little lonely, I would just love on her. And I'm like, I'm so sorry, darling, but you're gonna have to take all of this love right now, until a guy comes along. I'm like, she's gonna be so grateful that I finally meet someone who should be like, Mom stop loving me. She had the she had the container to be able to hold all that. She's a bit of a love bug, which is great. But yeah, you know, you're what you're saying is like the lack? If there's a lack of it, then then look at more, how can I create more of that? How do I take responsibility for that? You know,

DeeAnne Riendeau:

We are we are co creators in this world, you know, and that's a big part of the whole manifestation piece of like, recognizing our power to co create. And so when we do take responsibility, it shifts everything, doesn't it? Yes, absolutely. I mean, okay, obviously, spirit called you, you know, through this entire process, as you you know, discover these mind movies and what you could create. I'd love to hear another little quick story about when spirit called you, and I know that you have many, many, many. But, you know, I think that our audience finds it so neat and intriguing. Because it reminds them of moments from spirit called them. Yeah, love to hear.

Natalie Ledwell:

I mean, I saw I had download. And this was a number of years ago about creating a children's version of the mind movie software. You know, because we have with my movies, you can, you know, you log into the software, there's a whole library of affirmations and photos and music and just kind of drag and drop in, it's very easy to make. So with the children's version, you know, categories, like finding a perfect partner is like relative to a 10 year old. So we might have education and sport and you know, different things. So I was able to create that. And then I'm like, Well, okay, now, what am I doing with it now? And so, I remember, there was, you know, every year make a mind movie at the beginning of the year. And I'd realized that for most things that my previous year, I was carrying through to this next year, and I'm like, Okay, so I'm not getting anywhere. And I had, I was working on a TV show, I was wanting a new book I had, you know, the kids program and remind maybes and have like, Alright, I think I just have to choose a line, like, what am I going to do? And I'm thinking, well, it's not going to be the kids program, because I don't have children. I left school at the end of year 10, you know, from a big family, mom and dad couldn't afford to keep me at school. So I'm like, well, that's not it, that our own TV show that sounds pretty sexy. I think I'd like to do that. And then, of course, you know, a few days later, my friend of mine who's a colleague who's like, an international trauma healing specialist, reaches out to me goes, we've got to put this program together for kids, it's really important. There's suffering, we, you know, we can help and like, okay, it's gotta be the kids thinking thing. And I'm telling you there. It's been years, we'll be working on it for years, we kind of got it ready. We're working on a couple of years. And then COVID here too. And, and there's been a number of times where I'm like, Okay, I can't do this. I know you've given it to me. But I can't do this, like, I'm not qualified. And of course, I've got that, that voice going, you know, who do you think you are? Like, you know, it's crazy. So I'll try and walk away and then you know, someone will show up or something will drop in. I'm like,

DeeAnne Riendeau:

How would you resist? They keep back?

Natalie Ledwell:

Exactly. So and you know, and I remember, like, and because I have this story of like, I'm not qualified to do this. Right. Then I'm like, Okay, no, I'm just gonna own what I am bringing to this projects. Yeah. So I'm the type of person who's got the platform to speak about it. I've got the you know, I'm, I can build the technology I can get, you know, my girlfriend Debbie's ideas and structure them into lesson. So this is what I'm owning. And then I was at a conference not long ago, and we had this amazing clairvoyant woman came in and led us in a meditation. And, and in that meditation will come through very clearly was God or the Universe going, Natalie, it's you. You're the reason you have this The way that you speak the way that you inspire how passionate you are about it, you are the reason that you have this project, you got to start owning it. I was like, okay, okay, so now I'm so I'm stepping into it.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

You are? Yes. And isn't it amazing? You know how we can self sabotage? You know, that ego mind that comes in and wants to tell us something else, you know, you're not qualified. You don't have kids or this and that the other thing, but it sounds to me, like you found evidence that proves that you are indeed the right brain

Natalie Ledwell:

Well you can't ignore. And it's like, it's like, I'm like, No, I'm gonna I'm gonna shuffle off the side. It's like, no, no, no. Here's someone to help you do this next week. I'm like,

DeeAnne Riendeau:

And we do need it more than ever. Natalie, you know, we're seeing in the schools, the anxiety rates of the children. And we, you know, there's so much work to be done there. So I'm so delighted to hear that you're staying the course.

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah.

DeeAnne Riendeau:

Don't worry about We're rooting for you. All right. I can't believe time has gone by so fast already. But we are kind of getting into our closing time. And I want to see it. Was there anything else that you wanted to kind of add as a tool or tip or takeaway? I know, you mentioned a few times, which I want to bring to the surface as well make sure our listeners caught it, who you surround yourself with is important, massively important, you know, when it comes to everything, manifestation, your life path, all of it. Because if you are hanging out with people who are low vibration, who are negative who are, you know, sinking the ship, so to speak, and then you go down with the ship. So that's another big takeaway. Anything else you want to add to that, though?

Natalie Ledwell:

Yeah, I mean, I think I'm like living proof that it doesn't matter. You know, where you grew up. Like, I grew up in a country town, I'm one of eight kids in Australia, you know, and here I am, living in Los Angeles. And people might check handful of my friends, like, these guys are my friends. And I've reached him, me and people and help them to shift there, you know. And it was because it was a dream, there was a thought it was a an intention that I wanted.
